Selecting the Right Bathroom Suite

Selecting the right bathroom suite is not easy. Considerations include personal style, current fits, size and shape of the room, etc. Are you going to go with a traditional suite or are you more interested in a contemporary look and feel? Do you prefer pastels and a simple design or are you more interested in a bold, sleek look? No matter what your preference, there is mush more to consider when selecting the right bathroom suite.

The bathroom today is becoming a room to be proud of, a room where guests are encouraged to visit, and a room that provides you and your family with a haven from the ever-increasing day-to-day stress.

Various things to consider are the size of the bathroom, the needs of your family, and your budget.

The size of the room will need to be big enough to handle the new suite. If you are building a new room, the plan can usually accommodate your wishes for the suite. Do you have a large family that causes you to require more storage than is typically used in a bathroom? Perhaps a vanity with extra storage space will work well for you. Are you a single person or family of two that does not need a great deal of storage in the bathroom? Then a simple pedestal basin may the answer. Perhaps you have young children and would prefer to have your storage higher up on the wall. Determine your needs before you make choices for your suite.

Also, consider your current plumbing and where it is located. Is it sufficient to handle a large capacity bath? Will you need a single or double tap? Will bath need to be placed in a specific position? These are all things to consider when assessing your needs.

Consider your budget and plan around it. Many of the materials used in today’s contemporary bathroom suites can be quite pricey. Steel or copper, gold plated fixtures, solid oak cabinetry, etc can be expensive. It may be a better option to go with a lower-priced material made to look like its more expensive counterpart.  Very nice suites can be purchased without breaking the bank.

Take the time to shop around for a bathroom suite that meets your budget, needs, and room size. A contemporary style combined with traditional features may bring back some of the old-world charm you crave. Corner baths give the room a modern, contemporary feel, and decorative taps can bring about an antique richness of style. Personalize the suite with your own style and you will find the decisions you have made will create the suite you desire.
